Hey! Thank you so much for visiting my blog and wanting to get to know me a little bit better. I’m in my mid-twenties and living on Long Island with my fiancé, Chris. We met in college and are now out on our own, loving our cozy little apartment and enjoying engaged life.
I first started this blog when I was a rising junior in college. It’s been edited a ton since then and has come a long way. I’ve built it up, stripped it down, changed the name, abandoned it, changed the name again, stripped it down again, and I now finally feel like it’s in a place where it accurately reflects me and what it is I am trying to do here. But it still has a long way to go. This started as a place for me to fuse my two interests – writing and health. I went from wanting to be an editor, to wanting to be a health writer, to discovering the beautiful world of health coaching and holistic health. I’m still working on getting to where I want to be and working on enjoying the process at the same time. But I finally feel comfortable and confident enough to fully share my journey.
One big thing about me: I’m not into hype, I’m not into trends, and I’m not into fads. You will see none of that here. Even if you find something that happens to be super trendy on here, it’s because I genuinely love it and believe in it. It’s rooted in something; whether it be tradition or nature. It’s been around before it became so trendy; the media just takes it to a whole new level. It’s like when a song has been out for a year, gets released on the radio, and is then played non-stop. It all of a sudden becomes a little annoying right? That’s kinda what can happen in the health and wellness space. Except, instead of something being around for a single year, it can have been around for thousands and thousands of years. Somehow it becomes a trend, the media gets a hold of it, and well, you know how it goes. Fun fact about me: my car radio has been broken for 2 years or more, and I’m in no rush to get it fixed.
There’s a lot to come, but I really wanted to have this page here so you can get a better idea of who I am and what this space means to me. I don’t define myself by my interest in food and health, and I hope you don’t define me by that either. It is not the entire story, although it is a big part. So I plan on writing a lot more about other topics and sharing more about my journey because I have some stories for you. And I want to share all of this with you because I have a sneaky little feeling that it might help with whatever it is you’re going through too. I’d also love to actually connect with you, so please don’t hesitate to leave me a comment, write me an email, or connect on Instagram. Those are my three biggest platforms and where you will find me most often.
Thank you so much for visiting my site and reading this. It means so much to me. I look forward to sharing and connecting. xo
