Book Review: Your Holistically Hot Transformation by Marissa Vicario

Hi friends!

First off, I am so happy and excited that Marissa had contacted me for the opportunity to read and review her book, Your Holistically Hot Transformation, before it’s official release. (Thank you, Marissa!) I absolutely loved her book and am even more thrilled to be able to share the sign-up for a sample chapter with you, so you can have a glimpse of who Marissa is and what her book is all about, firsthand.

In the book, Marissa covers pretty much all the topics there are to cover: her holistic approach, different types of food, nutrient density, how the body works, recipes, action steps you can take right now to implement her suggestions, hydration, shopping, cooking, meal prep, exercise, stress management, and the list goes on. This book walks its talk – it is a holistic and full-bodied approach to changing your lifestyle. But honestly, it was Marissa’s personality and voice that really got me hooked.

Holistic health is currently a popular topic. From Instagram to Facebook to magazines and the news, it’s increasingly everywhere. Things can get confusing and it’s often hard to grasp the big picture when you’re getting little bits of information here and there, which can often be very contradictory. Marissa has put everything into one place and has done so with her as your personal guide. I really felt like Marissa was talking to me while I read the book.

Also, Marissa just gets it. In Chapter 13, Listening to your Body, she states,

“We live primarily in our heads and use our bodies as the vehicle to perform what our mind tells us to do. Getting out of your head and into your body means completely ignoring or drowning out the chatter in your mind and re-programming old habits.”

This is it. This is what you really need to grasp if you’re looking to make a lifestyle change. It is one of the hardest things to do, but those things are often the most rewarding. If you’re ready to make a change and are looking for a useful tool to help you along the way, check out Marissa’s book.

I hope you check out the book and enjoy it as much as I did! Happy reading!

in health and love,

Kim
