Who I am and what I do | Hi! I’m Kim. I am a Holistic Health Coach with a passion for whole foods and balanced living. I’m here to encourage and support you in following a holistic approach to your health, wellness, and life. Simply put, my job is to help you overcome obstacles, make lifelong adjustments, and supply you with the tools needed to keep it up – forever.
While I was always fairly health conscious, my journey towards health and well-being took a serious turn when I was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. Two years later, I discovered the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Another three years later, I was finally enrolled and on my way to becoming a health coach. It has now been six years since I was diagnosed and a lot has happened since then. With a lot of experimentation and persistence, I’ve discovered what works best for my body and I want to help you do the same.
My approach | I firmly believe in the power of bio-individuality, the idea that you are uniquely you and only you know what works best for your body. Maybe you aren’t quite sure what works best for you right now, but you want to figure it out. I would love to guide you on that journey!
This means no fad diets and no hype about whatever superfood is currently flooding the media; just simple, good, whole foods that work for you. What works for you might resemble one of the popular dietary theories out there — paleo, vegan, vegetarian — but the point is take it a step further and tailor it specifically for you. With a little dedication and time, you will find your way. All I ask is that you keep two things in mind:
- Whole foods do not have ingredients – they are ingredients.
- If it doesn’t make you feel good, don’t eat it.
It’s a big world out there, and only you can find what works best for you. So try new things, stick with what makes you feel good, and remember that it’s all about balance.
